Writer Jules Raymond
Jules Raymond is the creator of POO Plushies. He lives in Los Angeles, California, with his husband and twins Beatrice and Arthur. He and his husband work in independent film as financiers and movie producers. Their company produced the award winning independent film THE FALLOUT released in 2021 on HBO MAX.
Jules joined the handmade plushie world as a collector and developed a strong, meaningful friendship with Jessica Johnson, creator of Button Jar Monsters. In 2021, he started his own handmade plushie venture as a creative outlet with an opportunity to celebrate irreverence and raise funds for The Trevor Project, which focuses on supporting LGBT+ youth. His efforts have yielded over $10,000 in support for the Trevor Project in the first year.

Illustrator Jessica Johnson
Jessica Johnson is the creator of Button Jar Monsters. She lives in Evansville, Indiana with her husband and five children. Johnson
entered the handmade art world with clay dolls under the brand Dusty Button Jar. She started making handmade plushies in 2017 when her kids asked her to make a monster with them.
And that first monster has led to thousands of designs, many of which start as concepts like the beautiful illustrations in this book. Her unique talents exploded Button Jar Monster in popularity with tens of thousands of fans and product releases that sell out in seconds. Her art has become a booming small business with several sewists as she expanded to meet demand.
